“Every student can learn. Just not on the same day or in the same way.”
- George Evans
About Us
We provide educational assessments and early literacy intervention tailored to the unique needs of each child.
We understand that early intervention is paramount to academic success and fostering a love for learning.

With a focus on the early years of learning, we provide 1:1 and small group literacy intervention to students from Prep to year 3, offering specialised explicit instruction to those with reading and learning difficulties, including dyslexia.
We specialise in educational assessments to pinpoint areas of difficulty and customise our approach accordingly. We then provide systematic lessons using evidence-based literacy programs, such as Sounds-Write, to support every learner's individual needs.

Our Team
All of our teachers are registered with the Victorian Institute of Teachers.
With a team of qualified teachers and highly trained literacy specialists with over 15 years experience and a commitment to research-based programs, we strive to make a positive impact on the lives of students facing reading challenges.

We understand that every child is unique, and we believe that with the right guidance and support, they can thrive academically and build a strong foundation for a bright future.
Our Approach
Assessment and Identification
We conduct comprehensive assessments to identify specific reading difficulties and determine the student's instructional level, strengths, and areas needing improvement.
Individualised Instructional Plan
We set a personalised instructional plan tailored to the student's needs, based on assessment results. This plan should target specific areas of weakness, such as phonemic awareness, decoding, fluency, vocabulary, and comprehension.
Specialised
Literacy Instruction
Our qualified teachers use explicit and systematic instruction focused on the identified areas of need using evidence-based instructional strategies and interventions, such as phonics instruction, multi-sensory techniques, decodable reading, vocabulary instruction, and comprehension strategies.
1:1 and Small Group Lessons
We deliver explicit reading intervention through one-to-one or small group lessons with a VIT registered teacher to ensure intensive support and individualised attention is provided that is based on each student's learning profile.
Progress Monitoring
We implement ongoing progress monitoring to track the student's growth and adjust instruction as needed. We use standardised assessments to measure progress regularly and make data-informed decisions about instructional adjustments.
Teachers & Families
We welcome collaboration with teachers, learning support specialists, and support staff who are involved in the student's learning program.

We engage families in the intervention process by providing strategies, and opportunities for involvement in supporting their child's reading development at home.
Programs We Use
Supporting Families
We understand the struggles that families experience at home.
Navigating the challenges of struggling readers at home can be a complex and emotionally taxing experience for families. These challenges create hurdles that impact not only academic progress but also the overall well-being of the child.

We are here to help guide and educate families on effective ways to support their child at home, fostering a collaborative and positive learning environment that extends beyond the school setting.
